Sébastien Gagnon

First Aid Instructor, First Responder, Canadian Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder.

  • Former member of the Red Cross national first aid programs review committees (2000-2008) for the Leadership component.
  • Contributor to the Canadian Red Cross Leadership journal.
  • Received the Distinguished Service Award from the Canadian Red Cross for his involvement in the implementation of the AED program and advanced first aid for first aid posts of Greater Montreal.
  • Red Cross volunteer since 1990, involved in first aid services until 2005.

Sébastien combines a solid clinical and teaching expertise. He has 10 years of practice as a Paramedic in both Quebec and Ontario, he is certified as an advanced care paramedic and has been teaching full-time for the last ten years at the Cité collégiale in Ottawa in the program Paramedical Services. He is very thorough in his teaching, but knows when to put a good dose of humour.

 

Pierre Desjardins

Canadian Red Cross First Aid and Wilderness & Remote First Aid Instructor.

Passionate about first aid, his skills in the field have been solicited more than once during a career as an adventure tourism guide and canoe instructor. During these 35 years of professional involvement in the field of tourism, Pierre has always taken a great interest in first aid. Anecdotes, facts, experiences that Peter collected during many journeys around the world greatly influence his teaching.

Jeff Thuot has a firmly established reputation backed by a career of over 35 years as a guide in adventure tourism. His status as a canoe instructor and his involvement in many training programs in adventure tourism give him unparalleled expertise in wilderness first aid.

 

Martin Poirier

Canadian Red Cross First Aid Monitor, Emergency Medical Instructor Respondent Paramedic CFP

A father with a long experience in outdoor activities, Martin has a degree in Paramedic Care from the Cité collégiale. Martin’s experience constitutes a precious asset for our team of instructors. The combination of his knowledge and skills in these areas provides a great wealth to his teaching.

 

Mathieu Desjardins Lalonde

Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor.

Mathieu is our rookie but has extensive experience in the outdoors and first aid. A graduate of Mont-Laurier Vocational Training Centre in protection and exploitation of wildlife territory, he works also as a guide in adventure tourism, especially in sea kayaking in Greece. His field experience and practice of first aid, and his teaching skills are clearly an asset to our team.
